Outsiders verses Procrastinators

Right going to start this blog properly now – spent a few days scouting around (some intimidatingly slick and pretty blogs out there) and realised I am doing what seems to be a reoccurring theme of my life – being an observer rather than a contributor. It is all very well feeling smugly superior or aloof as you people watch but ultimately it is not as satisfying.

Colin Wilson wrote a book called the Outsider, how the creative genius be it artist, philosopher, writer was disconnected from general society. As well as the impact and influence they had on society. It is nice to think of my as an ‘outsider’ I am not, just a people watcher with delusions of grandeur, a non-participant.

So if I want to aspire to be an ‘outsider’ then I had better… er start blogging and just stop reading other peoples blogs, start participating.

I am sure procrastination wastes more talent than drink or drugs combined...
